What Is the teamLab Phenomena Experience?

The teamLab Phenomena experience is unlike any other museum visit. Showcasing groundbreaking artworks from an international art collective called teamLab, this immersive art museum draws inspiration from the balance between nature, the manufactured world and the environment.

You’ll discover living, moving creations shaped by natural forces that will transform in response to your presence. You’re not just observing the teamLab multisensory artworks; you’re part of what unfolds.

Move forward, and it shifts again. Wave your hand, change direction, or interact with others — everything contributes to a constantly evolving experience.

What are the teamLab Art Exhibitions in the UAE?

The teamLab phenomena exhibits are spread across several spaces: Dry (for light, sound, and motion-based experiences ideal for all ages) and Wet (for barefoot experiences as you move through artworks that involve water) areas, Lamp Tea House (where art, nature, and technology meet), and Sketch Factory (where your drawings turn into living souvenirs).

At the entrance, you’ll find a striking architectural feature that presents the Living Crystallized Light. It’s a small, shimmering pool of water that, when touched, shows a unique geometric mosaic on the surface. How it appears differs for each visitor, shaping your entire experience as you move through the series of artworks further into the museum.

Some notable artworks to experience:

  • Morphing Continuum, which transcends the conventional idea of physical objects.
  • Biocosmos, which portrays this spatiotemporal existence through the mystical movement of hundreds of thousands of birds.
  • Floating Microcosms feature soft, flexible sculptures that relate to visitors’ bodies and change with movement.
  • Continuous Trajectories in Flux and Form is an artwork in constant flux, where visitors become one with the piece.
  • Waterfall of Light Particles, which is based on a waterfall in the Shikoku (Japan) mountains.
  • Tea in Spontaneous Order – Dynamic Steady State Color, which is created when the tea is made and disappears when the tea is drunk.
