Day 1: Arrival & Welcome to Tbilisi

  • 16:35 | Arrival: Touch down at Tbilisi International Airport (Flight G9 294). After completing immigration and luggage collection, meet our representative in the arrivals hall.
  • Transfer & Check-in: Enjoy a comfortable private transfer to your hotel. Our team will assist with your check-in so you can settle into your room and freshen up.

Day 2: Kakheti — The Cradle of Wine & City of Love

  • 10:00 | Journey to the East: After breakfast, depart for the Kakheti region, world-renowned as the “Cradle of Wine” for its 8,000-year-old winemaking traditions.

Georgia Visa & Entry Guidelines

  1. Visa-Free Entry for UAE/GCC Residents

Residents of the United Arab Emirates and other GCC nations can enter Georgia visa-free.

  • Stay Duration: Up to 90 days within any 180-day period.
  • Requirement: Your GCC residence permit must be valid on both the date of entry and the date of departure.
  1. Mandatory Documents for Arrival

To ensure a smooth entry at the border, please have the following documents ready for inspection by Georgian immigration:

  • Original Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your stay.
  • GCC Residence Permit: Your physical or digital residency card.
  • Accommodation Proof: Confirmed hotel vouchers for your stay.
  • Return Flight Ticket: A confirmed onward or return ticket.
  • Travel Insurance: Mandatory coverage for the entire duration of your trip.

Important Update for Specific Nationalities

Effective May 16, 2025, the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs has implemented stricter entry rules for nationals of the following 17 countries:

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ghana, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Yemen, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.

  • New Rule: Nationals of these countries are eligible for visa-free entry only if their GCC residence permit (or a multiple-entry GCC visa) is valid for at least one full year at the time of entry.
  • This is a mandatory requirement—permits with less than 12 months validity will not be accepted for visa-free entry.

While the visa-free policy applies to most UAE residents, the final decision to grant entry lies solely with the Georgian Immigration Authorities at the airport. Keeping all required documents organized and accessible is highly recommended.

  • Flight Schedule Changes: VooTours is not responsible for any airline cancellations or rescheduling of domestic or international flights. Any additional costs incurred due to such changes (accommodation, transport, etc.) are the responsibility of the traveler.
  • Unused Services: No refunds or credits will be provided for any pre-booked tours, transfers, or services that are not utilized by the traveler at the scheduled time.
  • Seat Selection: Specific seat allotment is not included in this package and remains subject to the airline’s independent policies.
  • Personal Property: Travelers are solely responsible for the safety of their belongings. VooTours assumes no liability for the loss, theft, or damage of personal items or baggage during the tour.
  • Liability Disclaimer: VooTours acts only as a facilitator and shall not be held responsible for:
    • Personal injury, illness, accident, or death.
    • Theft, loss, or damage to baggage and effects.
    • Logistical irregularities or mechanical breakdowns.
    • Force Majeure events (extreme weather, strikes, war, quarantine, or other uncontrollable circumstances).
    • All associated costs arising from these events must be covered by the passengers.
  • Health & COVID-19 Policy: We are not liable for any guest testing positive for COVID-19. All expenses related to medical care, hospitalization, flight changes, quarantine, or emergency evacuation must be borne by the customer.
  • Regulatory Compliance: VooTours is not responsible for disruptions caused by sudden changes in international travel regulations or government mandates issued after the booking is confirmed.
  • Third-Party Services: As a tour operator, we do not exercise direct control over the operations of third-party providers, including airlines, railways, coach companies, or shipping lines.

Passport & Airport Arrival

  • Border Requirements: Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry. Your UAE/GCC residency must be valid for the duration of your stay.
  • Arrival & Transfers: Upon landing, please activate your WhatsApp. After clearing customs and immigration, look for our representative holding a VooTours sign in the arrivals hall. They will escort you to your private transfer vehicle.

Currency & Payments

  • The Lari (GEL): All goods and services must be paid for in the local currency (Georgian Lari). 1 USD is approximately 2.7 GEL.
  • Exchanges: USD, Euros, and Pounds are easily exchanged at various kiosks throughout the city.
  • Cards & ATMs: Visa and MasterCard are widely accepted in hotels, malls, and restaurants. ATMs are common in major towns and cities.
  • Tipping: While not mandatory, a tip of 10-15% is standard and greatly appreciated in restaurants and cafes to support local staff.

Tour Etiquette & Punctuality

  • Scheduling: Meeting times for group and individual tours are strict. Please refer to your itinerary for exact times and locations.
  • Waiting Policy: The guide will wait for a maximum of 10 minutes. If you miss the departure, the service is considered utilized and non-refundable.
  • Religious Sites Dress Code: Georgia is a deeply traditional country. When visiting churches or mosques:
    • Men: No shorts or tank tops; shoulders and knees must be covered.
    • Women: Shoulders and knees must be covered, and a headscarf is required. In some rural areas, a skirt is required (trousers may not be permitted). Carrying a light wrap or pashmina is highly recommended.

 Hotel Information

  • Check-in: Usually between 14:00 and 15:00. You must present your passport at the front desk.
  • Travel Tip: Keep a hotel business card in your wallet. It contains the address in Georgian, which is invaluable if you need to take a taxi back to your hotel.
  • Check-out: Please settle any “extras” (mini-bar, room service) at the reception before leaving.

Weather & Practicalities

  • Climate: Expect mild, rainy conditions on the coast and a drier, continental climate in Tbilisi. Mountainous areas are significantly colder—pack layers!
  • Electricity: Georgia uses Plug Types C and F (two round pins) with a 220V supply.
