Visiting the Al Wathba Fossil Dunes is an essential experience in Abu Dhabi. These recently unearthed formations, over 4 million years in the making, constitute the Al Wathba Fossil Dunes Protected Area. Spanning 7 square kilometers, this area is home to over 1,700 fossil dunes, one of the highest concentrations in the emirate. At the reserve, visitors can explore the natural wonders along well-lit 3-kilometer trails, complete with benches and shaded areas for relaxation.
