Essential Information for Your Skydive Dubai Experience

Arrival & Timing

• Arrival Time: Please arrive at the exact time stated in your confirmation email (e.g., if your slot is 10:00 AM, arrive at 10:00 AM). This is your check-in time, not your flight time.
• Duration: Expect to spend 3 to 4 hours at the dropzone, covering everything from check-in and training to collecting your media USB.

What to Bring

• Identification: A valid government-issued photo ID (Passport, Emirates ID, or Driver’s License).
• Waiver Form: A completed and signed Tandem Waiver.
• Medical Form: If you are 70 years or older or have pre-existing medical conditions, you must provide a stamped “Declaration of Fitness” from your doctor.
• Vouchers: Your physical or digital gift certificate (if applicable).

Dress Code & Gear

• Clothing: Wear respectful, athletic, and comfortable clothes. T-shirts must have sleeves.
• Footwear: Use sports shoes or sneakers without buckles or studs.
• Prohibited: No low-cut tops, crop tops, sleeveless shirts, collared shirts, or short shorts. Sandals, boots, and heels are strictly forbidden.
• Accessories: Remove all jewelry and watches (lockers are available).
• Glasses: You may wear your prescription glasses or contact lenses; we provide protective goggles that fit over them.

Weather Policy

Skydiving is entirely dependent on safe weather conditions. High winds, low clouds, or rain may cause delays (“Standby”) or cancellations.

• Cancellations: If we cancel due to weather and you cannot reschedule, a full refund will be issued.
• Liability: Skydive Dubai is not responsible for any personal costs (flights, hotels, etc.) incurred due to weather-related closures.

Bookings & Rescheduling

• Advance Booking: We highly recommend booking for the beginning of your Dubai trip to allow for weather-related rescheduling.
• Waitlist: Walk-ins are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, but jumps are not guaranteed.
• Rescheduling: * Individuals: Must request changes at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Groups: Must request changes at least 72 hours in advance.
  • Failure to follow these windows may result in the loss of your deposit.

Female Instructors

We have world-class female instructors available. Please request one during check-in. At the Desert Dropzone, please submit this request at least 48 hours in advance. We do our best to accommodate based on daily availability.

Photos & Video

• Included: Every tandem package includes high-quality photos and a standard edited video captured by a dedicated camera flyer.
• Extras: Instagram-specific edits are available at the Palm Dropzone for an additional AED 100.
• Technical Glitch: In the rare event of a camera malfunction, you may be eligible for a refund of AED 200 (media cost only), subject to management approval.

On-Site Facilities

• Enjoy free Wi-Fi and our on-site café.
• Friends and family are welcome to watch from the outdoor viewing deck.
• Note: No daycare facilities or pets are allowed; children must be supervised at all times.

Refund Policy Highlights

Deposits are only refundable in the event of bad weather. Refunds will not be issued for:

• Failing to meet age/weight/BMI requirements.
• Arriving late or as a “No-Show.”
• Being under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Scuba diving within 24 hours of your jump.

Weight & Body Mass Index (BMI)

A baseline level of fitness is necessary for a safe flight and landing. We follow strict manufacturer guidelines for our safety equipment and cannot make exceptions.

• Women: Maximum weight of 90.0 kg (198 lbs) and a maximum BMI of 27.5.

• Men: Maximum weight of 100.0 kg (220 lbs) and a maximum BMI of 30.0.

Note: All guests will be weighed (including shoes and clothing) during check-in. You are welcome to visit our dropzones to check your weight on our official scales prior to your booking.

Age Restrictions

• Minimum Age: You must be at least 18 years old (by the Gregorian calendar) on the day of your jump.

• Identification: A valid government photo ID (Passport, Emirates ID, or Driver’s License) is mandatory for check-in.

• Seniors (70+): Guests aged 70 and older must provide a “Declaration of Fitness” form that has been signed and stamped by a doctor prior to arrival.

Medical & Health Policy

• Zero Tolerance: No alcohol or drugs may be in your system for 24 hours prior to your skydive.

• Pregnancy: Skydiving is strictly prohibited for expectant mothers.

• Scuba Diving: To avoid decompression sickness, you must not have gone scuba diving within 24 hours of your tandem jump.

• Pre-existing Conditions: If you have ever suffered from any of the following, you must have a doctor sign and stamp a “Declaration of Fitness” form:

  • Epilepsy, fits, or blackouts

  • Severe head injuries or neurological diseases

  • High blood pressure, heart, or lung disease

  • Dislocated limbs or recurrent physical weakness

  • Diabetes or mental health conditions

  • Recent major surgeries or any chronic illnesses

Do I need any prior experience to skydive?

Not at all! Our tandem skydiving experience is specifically designed for beginners. You will be securely harnessed to a world-class instructor who manages the entire process—from parachute deployment to landing—leaving you free to enjoy the adrenaline and the views.

What is the difference between the Palm and Desert drop zones?

• Palm Dropzone: Offers iconic views of the Palm Jumeirah island, Dubai Marina, and the Burj Al Arab. It is considered one of the most scenic jumps in the world.
• Desert Dropzone: Provides a serene experience over golden sand dunes and the vast Arabian desert, perfect for those who want a more natural landscape.

How high do we jump from and how fast do we fall?

You will take the leap from approximately 13,000 feet. You’ll experience about 60 seconds of freefall at speeds reaching 120mph (190km/h), followed by a peaceful 5-minute parachute glide back to earth.

Are there any weight or BMI restrictions?

Yes, for safety reasons, strict limits apply:

• Women: Weight must be under 90kg with a BMI of 27.5 or below.
• Men: Weight must be under 100kg with a BMI of 30.0 or below.
• Note: Weight is measured with your clothes and shoes on at check-in.

Is there a minimum age to skydive?

Participants must be 18 years or older as per the Gregorian calendar. You must bring a valid government-issued photo ID (Passport or Emirates ID) for verification on the day of your jump.

Can I skydive if I wear prescription glasses or contact lenses?

Yes! We provide specially designed protective eye goggles that fit comfortably over your prescription glasses or contact lenses, ensuring you don’t miss a single detail of the view.

Can I bring my own camera (like a GoPro) on the jump?

For safety and insurance reasons, personal cameras and GoPros are not allowed on the aircraft or during the jump. However, your package already includes high-quality photos and a professionally edited video captured by a dedicated camera flyer.

What should I wear for my skydive?

Wear comfortable, athletic clothing (T-shirts with sleeves are required) and laced-up sneakers. Please avoid collared shirts, crop tops, short shorts, or any footwear with hooks or buckles (like boots or sandals).

What happens if the weather is bad on the day of my booking?

Skydiving is weather-dependent. If high winds or poor visibility prevent jumping, your experience will be rescheduled to the next available slot. if you are a tourist and cannot reschedule, a full refund will be provided.

Can I go scuba diving before my skydive?

No. You must not have been scuba diving within 24 hours prior to your skydive to avoid the risk of decompression sickness. Please plan your holiday itinerary accordingly!
