Transportation & Timing

• Seating Arrangement: Seating for all transfers is based on availability and will be allocated by your tour manager/driver.

• Flexible Timing: Please be aware that your pickup/drop-off times are estimates. Actual transfer timing may vary by 30 to 60 minutes due to traffic conditions, route scheduling, and your specific location.

• Private Transport: Private transportation arrangements are available upon request for all tours; please inquire when booking.

• Strollers: If you plan to bring a stroller, you must inform us at the time of reservation, as space inside the vehicles is limited.

Attire & Weather

• Seasonal Clothing: Summer clothing is suitable for most of the year. However, we recommend carrying a sweater or jacket during the cooler winter months.

• Sun Safety: We advise bringing good quality sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat when you are in direct sunlight.

Mandatory Documentation

• Original ID Required: Some tours require your original passport or Emirates ID. This is noted in the Important Notes section of the specific tour page. It is mandatory to read this information, as we are not responsible for missed tours if you fail to bring the necessary ID.

Local Regulations & Conduct

• Photography Rules: Photography of UAE residents, especially ladies, military institutions, government buildings, and installations is strictly prohibited.

• Holiday Restrictions: On Islamic occasions and National holidays, tours will not serve alcohol and there will be no live entertainment, in adherence to government regulations.

• Littering & Smoking: Littering is a punishable offense and may result in fines. Smoking is not allowed inside public areas or our vehicles.

• Inclusions Closure: Please note that some mentioned inclusions may be closed on specific days or weekends as per government norms; we are not responsible for such closures.

Responsibility & No-Show Policy

• Personal Belongings: Leaving personal belongings (media equipment, wallets, or any other valuable items) in our vehicles or at tour sites is solely at your own risk. Our drivers and guides are not responsible for lost items.

• No-Show Policy: We reserve the right to charge a 100% No Show fee if a guest does not arrive on time for the scheduled pickup.

• Missed Tour: If a guest does not show up on time and our vehicle departs, we will not arrange for an alternative transfer, and no refund will be provided for the missed tour.

• Partially Used Services: There will be no refund for partly utilized services.

• Uncontrollable Circumstances: Due to any uncontrollable circumstances (e.g., traffic, vehicle breakdowns, weather, delay by other guests), if the tour is delayed or cancelled, we will provide alternative options where possible.

What is the best time of year to go on a Dubai Desert Safari?

The most comfortable time is during the winter months (November to March), when temperatures are pleasant. However, our 4×4 vehicles are fully air-conditioned, and our desert camp is designed for comfort, making it a popular year-round activity.

 Is the dune bashing session safe?

Absolutely. Your safety is our priority. Our drivers are government-licensed professionals specifically trained for desert driving. Our vehicles are high-end 4x4s equipped with safety roll cages and comprehensive insurance.

What should I wear for the safari?

We recommend loose, comfortable clothing (linen or cotton) and sandals or flip-flops, as you will likely be walking on sand. During the winter months, we suggest bringing a light jacket, as the desert temperature drops significantly after sunset.

Is this tour suitable for children and seniors?

Children aged 4 and above can join the shared tour. However, the high-adrenaline dune bashing portion is not recommended for infants under 3, very elderly guests, or individuals with heart, neck, or back conditions. For these guests, we recommend booking a private vehicle to enjoy a “gentle” desert drive instead.

Are vegetarian and vegan meals available at the BBQ dinner?

Yes! Our 5-star BBQ buffet features a dedicated section for vegetarian dishes, including salads, pasta, lentil soup, and traditional appetizers like hummus and tabbouleh. Please inform us of any strict vegan needs during booking.

Do I need to bring any extra money?

The tour is largely all-inclusive (transport, dinner, soft drinks, and entertainment). However, you may want extra cash for optional activities like Quad Biking/ATV rentals, purchasing professional photos, or buying souvenirs at the camp.

Can I skip the dune bashing if I get motion sickness?

Yes. If you prefer to skip the thrills, you can request a “direct-to-camp” transfer or ask your driver to perform a very gentle drive. We recommend not eating a heavy meal 2–3 hours before the tour to prevent motion sickness.

Is there Wi-Fi available at the desert campsite?

Most desert camps do not have reliable Wi-Fi due to their remote location. This is the perfect opportunity to disconnect and immerse yourself in the natural beauty and culture of the Arabian desert.

How many people are in one vehicle during the safari?

 On a shared basis, our 4×4 vehicles typically accommodate up to 6 guests plus the driver. If you prefer more space and a personalized itinerary, you can upgrade to a Private Vehicle booking.

What happens if my tour is cancelled due to weather?

While rare, sandstorms or heavy rain can occasionally affect tour operations. In such cases, VooTours will offer you the choice of a full refund or an alternative date to ensure you don’t miss out on the experience.
