• Booking Confirmation: You will receive an initial confirmation at the time of booking. Final confirmation (subject to availability) will be provided within 48 hours.

• Shared Transfers: Tours are conducted on a sharing basis in a Land Cruiser with a maximum of 4 passengers per vehicle.

• Health & Safety: This tour is not recommended for expectant mothers or guests with heart conditions or other serious medical issues.

• Accessibility: Collapsible wheelchairs with removable wheels are permitted, provided the guest is accompanied by someone who can assist them with boarding and disembarking.

• Dietary Needs: Vegetarian meal options are available upon request. Please notify us of your preferences during the booking process.

• Child Policy: This experience is not recommended for children under 4. Please note that child seats are not provided; young children must sit on a parent’s lap.

• Pickup Location: Transfers are provided exclusively from Abu Dhabi hotels. Please wait in your hotel lobby for the Safari Marshal.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Itinerary and Pricing Amendments

• Company Discretion: Vootours reserves the absolute right to reschedule itineraries, alter routes, adjust pricing, or cancel a tour at its sole discretion. Such changes are primarily made to ensure guest safety or operational convenience.

• Service Changes: In the event of a cancellation or alteration due to inclement weather, vehicle issues, or traffic conditions, we will make every effort to provide an alternative service of equal value, subject to availability.

2. Cancellation and No-Show Policy

• Punctuality: Guests are required to be at the designated pickup point at the scheduled time.

• No-Show Penalties: Any guest who fails to arrive on time will be classified as a “No-Show.” In such cases, we reserve the right to apply a 100% no-show charge.

• Departure Policy: Once the tour vehicle has departed the pickup location, no alternative transfers or refunds will be provided for the missed tour.

• Non-Refundable Services: Any inclusions or features of a tour package that are not utilized by the guest are strictly non-refundable.

3. Logistics and Seating

• Seat Allocation: For all shared tours, seating is arranged by the driver or tour guide based on availability.

• Private Transfers: Guaranteed or specific seating arrangements are only applicable to private transfer bookings.

• Scheduling: Pickup and drop-off times listed on our website are approximate. Actual timings will be adjusted based on the guest’s specific location and real-time traffic conditions.

4. Booking and Redemption

• Promotions: Coupon codes are valid only when redeemed during the online booking process.

• Contractual Agreement: By completing a booking, you agree to all terms and conditions, price grids, and itineraries, which form a binding contract between the guest and Vootours.

Logistics & Timings

• Punctuality: Please be ready at your pickup location on time. We reserve the right to charge a 100% no-show fee if a guest is not ready. Once the vehicle departs, no refunds or alternative transfers will be provided.

• Seating: All seating is allocated by the tour manager based on availability.

• Schedule Flexibility: Pickup and drop-off times are estimates and may vary by 30–60 minutes due to traffic conditions or your specific location.

• Private Tours: Private transportation can be organized for all tours upon request.

Attire & Comfort

• Clothing: Comfortable clothing is advised. For quad biking, trousers and closed shoes are mandatory.

• Seasonality: While summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, sweaters or jackets are recommended during the winter months (October to March).

• Sun Protection: We highly recommend wearing high-quality sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.

Safety & Regulations

• Valuables: Please keep your personal belongings (wallets, cameras, etc.) with you. Vootours is not responsible for any items left in vehicles or at tour sites.

• Strollers: For vehicle safety and space, strollers are not allowed unless requested and approved at the time of reservation.

• Identification: Always carry your Original Passport or Emirates ID. Failure to present ID for tours where it is mandatory may result in a missed tour without a refund.

• Child Supervision: Children aged 3–12 must be supervised by an adult at all times during water-based activities.

Cultural Etiquette & Local Laws

• Photography: It is strictly prohibited to photograph military sites, government buildings, or UAE residents (especially ladies).

• Public Conduct: Smoking in public areas and littering are punishable offenses that may result in fines.

Service Terms

• External Factors: We are not responsible for the closure of attractions due to government norms, weekends, or religious holidays.

• Force Majeure: In the event of traffic, weather, or vehicle issues, we will strive to provide alternative options where possible.

• Refunds: No refunds are issued for partially used services.

Where exactly is the Liwa Desert, and how far is the drive?

The Liwa Oasis is located on the northern edge of the Rub Al Khali (The Empty Quarter), approximately 2–3 hours south of Abu Dhabi. The landscape is famous for having the largest and most majestic orange sand dunes in the world.

Are there toilet or shower facilities at the campsite?

As this is an authentic “wilderness” experience in a remote part of the desert, there are no fixed or traditional washroom facilities available at the campsite. We recommend preparing for a rustic, back-to-nature camping experience.

What kind of food is served during the overnight safari?

We provide a delicious traditional dinner under the stars on Day 1 and a fresh Arabic breakfast with coffee and tea on Day 2. Unlimited water, soda, and mineral water are also included throughout the trip.

Can I book this tour as a solo traveler?

This tour requires a minimum of 3 guests to operate. If you are traveling alone or with one other person, please email us at info@vootours.com so we can check for existing groups you can join.

 How cold does it get at night in the Liwa desert?

While the days can be warm, desert temperatures drop significantly after sunset. Warm layers, sweaters, or jackets are essential for the evening and early morning, especially during the winter months.

Is the 4×4 off-road driving safe?

Yes. You will be driven by expert, licensed navigators who are specialists in deep-desert terrain. Our vehicles are high-quality, air-conditioned 4x4s specifically equipped for navigating the towering dunes of the Empty Quarter.

What should I bring with me?

Aside from your personal items, you must bring your Original Passport or Emirates ID, as this is mandatory for the journey. We also recommend sunscreen, sunglasses, and a camera to capture the stunning landscape.

Is this tour suitable for children or pregnant women?

Due to the long drive and the nature of off-road dune driving, this tour is not recommended for pregnant women or guests with serious heart or back issues. Please contact us regarding age suitability for young children.

What is the cancellation policy for this tour?

We offer free cancellation up to 48 hours before the tour starts. Cancellations made within 48 hours or “no-shows” at the time of pickup will be charged at 100%.

Will I see any wildlife?

While wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, the Liwa desert is home to indigenous species. Keep your eyes peeled for the Arabian gazelle, desert rabbits, and lizards as you drive through the dunes!
