Critical Pre-Flight Information

• Schedule: We operate daily from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Mandatory Identification: All passengers must present a valid original photo ID (Emirates ID or Passport) at the check-in desk.
• Punctuality: VooTours is not responsible for guests who arrive late. Failure to arrive on time will result in a cancellation with no refund or option to reschedule.
• Weather & Safety: Flights are subject to favorable weather and visibility. Please note that flight paths may be adjusted based on Air Traffic Control (ATC) requirements or other safety considerations.
• Passenger Insurance: Every guest is fully insured according to the UAE Civil Aviation Authority regulations.
• Child Policy: There are no discounted rates for children; passengers of all ages are charged at the standard adult rate.
• Pregnancy Guidelines: Expectant mothers are welcome to fly within the first 32 weeks of pregnancy. Flying beyond this period is at the guest’s own risk.

Boarding & Punctuality

• Arrival Time: Guests must arrive at the helipad 60 minutes prior to departure.
• Gate Closure: Check-in strictly closes 45 minutes before the flight. Late arrivals are classified as “No-Shows” and are ineligible for refunds or rescheduling.
• Identification: An original Passport or Emirates ID is mandatory for security clearance. Digital copies or photocopies are not accepted; failure to provide original ID results in denied boarding.

Passenger Weight & Seating

• Individual Limit: The maximum weight per passenger is 110 kg. Guests nearing or exceeding this limit must purchase an additional seat to comply with aircraft balance regulations.
• Group Limit: The total combined weight for all passengers per flight must not exceed 450 kg.
• Allocation: Each helicopter seats 6 guests. Seat assignments are determined by the pilot to ensure flight balance; these decisions are final.
• Safety Constraints: Passengers requiring seatbelt extenders cannot be accommodated.

Camera & Technology Policy

• Permitted Items: Mobile phones, GoPros, and cameras are allowed, provided the lens does not exceed 400mm.
• Prohibited Items: Selfie sticks, tablets (iPads), and HD camcorders are strictly forbidden unless written approval from Dubai authorities is provided.
• Restricted Zones: Photography and filming are prohibited during boarding and disembarking. You may only take photos once outside the marked “yellow circle” or while in the air.

Safety & Health Restrictions

• Baggage: Large bags, purses, and backpacks are not permitted on board. Secure lockers are provided for your belongings.
• Dress Code: We recommend comfortable, lightweight sportswear. For safety, long scarves, flowing dresses, and large jewelry/earrings are discouraged.
• Medical Conditions: This activity is not permitted for heart patients, individuals with significant physical impairments, or those who have recently undergone major surgery.
• Pregnancy: Expectant mothers can fly up to their 32nd week, provided there are no medical complications.

Child Policy

• Age Limit: Children under 2 years old are not permitted to fly.
• Pricing: Children above 2 years old must occupy their own seat and are charged the full adult rate.

Prohibited Conduct

• In-Flight Rules: Smoking, eating, and drinking are strictly prohibited inside the helicopter and transfer vehicles.
• Conduct: The operator reserves the right to refuse boarding to any passenger whose behavior compromises the safety or comfort of others.
• Seatbelts: Passengers must remain seated with seatbelts securely fastened throughout the duration of the flight.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• 72+ Hours’ Notice: 100% refund (minus a 5% administrative fee).
• 48 to 72 Hours’ Notice: 50% refund (minus a 5% administrative fee).
• Less than 48 Hours: No refund will be granted.
• Technical/Weather Issues: If VooTours cancels the flight due to weather or technical reasons, a full refund or rescheduling will be provided.

Where exactly is the departure point for the helicopter ride?

All flights take off and land directly at the Atlantis, The Palm helipad. This premier location allows you to see the magnificent Palm Jumeirah island immediately upon ascent.

Can I book a single seat, or do I have to book the whole helicopter?

We offer both! You can book on a sharing basis (price per person) for tours ranging from 12 to 25 minutes, or you can opt for a private charter if you prefer the entire aircraft for your group.

What is the difference between the tour durations?

• 12–15 Mins: Focuses on the Palm, Burj Al Arab, and the Coastline.
• 17–25 Mins: Includes the Burj Khalifa, Downtown Dubai, and The World Islands.
• 45–60 Mins: Provides a comprehensive “Grand Tour” of both old and new Dubai, including Dubai Creek and Jebel Ali.

Is a physical ID required for all passengers?

Yes. Per UAE Civil Aviation regulations, every passenger must present their original Passport or Emirates ID at check-in. Digital copies or photos on a phone are not accepted.

Are there weight restrictions for passengers?

Yes. To maintain the aircraft’s balance, the weight limit is generally 110 kg per passenger. If you exceed or are near this limit, you may be required to purchase an additional seat. The total group weight for a 6-seater flight is capped at 450 kg.

Can I take photos and videos during the flight?

How early do I need to arrive?

Safety is our top priority. If a flight is cancelled by the pilot due to poor visibility or high winds, you will be offered the choice of rescheduling your tour or receiving a full refund.

Is there a specific dress code?

We recommend comfortable, lightweight clothing or sportswear. For safety during boarding, we discourage wearing high heels, long flowing dresses, or loose scarves that could be affected by the rotor wind.
